I'm stuck speaking with silence glitch

I made the mistake of taking mercers plans when I got Chillrend at the beginning of the game. So I couldn't get the next step from Karliah, I looked up what to do and I've done it twice: she shoots me then I get shot with her bow, she talks to me, and once it gives me speaking with silence again, instead of giving me the quest, the quest ends with me only talking to Karliah.

So basically, how do I move on to the next step now?
